Donald Frey, a senior product planning manager at Ford Motor Co. in the 1960s who along with Hal Sperlich and Lee Iacocca developed the iconic Ford Mustang, died on March 5 in Evanston, Ill., from a stroke. He was 87 years old.
In early December, the finalist entries from the CDN/GM Interactive Design Competition were put in front of the panel of judges from General Motors and Car Design News to determine the four winners of this year's internships with GM. This year, once again, the level of work was exceptional and made for a very difficult selection. The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe – the car we thought would be the Hyundai ix45 – has been revealed ahead of a debut at the New York Motor Show in April. If there’s a design hole in the Hyundai range – the one car Hyundai hasn’t bashed with its ‘Fluidic Stick’ – it’s the Santa Fe. But that looks set to change at next month’s New York Motor Show with the reveal of the 2013 Santa Fe.
